Tuesday, December 13th, 2011The premiere of VH1′s “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew Pinsky” was last week. The show, now in its third season, follows celebrities who have addictions to drugs, alcohol or both and shows Pinsky and the process of rehabilitation.
This season’s show should be priceless with this cast. Thank God, these people don’t have to work for a living. The cast includes former NBA basketball player Dennis Rodman, who refuses to admit his addiction to alcohol; Heidi Fleiss, who was convicted of running a prostitution ring and is addicted to crystal methamphetamine; Former “Real World” housemate Joey Kovar, who is addicted to alcohol, cocaine, ecstasy, methamphetamine and steroids; Mackenzie Phillips, who has battled her drug addiction for more than 30 years but her 2008 arrest in a Los Angeles airport has made her attempt to get clean and sober again; and country music singer Mindy McCready, who was arrested and jailed for trying to buy OxyContin with a false prescription and attempted suicide with an overdose of drugs and alcohol.
